Rose Bengal Brucella Antigen:

COMPOSITION :
The antigen is prepared from a concentrated cell suspension of smooth strain of Br. abortus (strain 99). The cells are stained with Rose Bengal stain and suspended in buffered brucella antigen diluent ( PH 3.65 ± 0.05).

INDICATION :
For serological diagnosis of Brucellosis in cattle and sheep by the Rose Bengal plate test and card test.

DIRECTIONS OF USE :
One each square of ceramic or porcelain plate; one drop (0.03ml) of the serum is added along – side (but not into) equal amount of the antigen. The antigen and antiserum are mixed thoroughly and the plate is placed on the rocking machine and rocked for 4 minutes.

PRECAUTIONS :
1- Avoid freezing, keep the antigen only at 4-8 oC.
2- Shake the bottle very well before use.
3- Bring both the reactants (the antigen and the serum) to
room temperature before performing the test.
4- Positive and negative sera should be used as control.

STORAGE :
The antigen should be stored at 4-8 oC, avoid freezing.

VALIDITY:
One year from the date of manufacture.

PACKAGE :
Glass bottles of 20 ml to apply 600 tests.
Glass bottles of 10 ml to apply 300 tests.
