Avian Cholera Vaccine:
 


DESCRIPTION:
Inactivated oil adjuvant vaccine prepared from selected local strains of Pasteurella multocida. Used for active immunization of poultry (chickens, ducks and turkeys) against pasteurellosis (fowl cholera).

 
 
 
 


DIRECTIONS FOR USE:
Dose : 0.5ml / per bird.
Site Of Vaccination : The vaccine is injected subcutaneously in the back of the neck midway between the bird’s head and the base of the neck.


 
 
 
 


VACCINATION PROGRAMME:

Chickens and Turkeys:
Primary vaccination is given in the form of two injections. First injection is given at age of 8-10 weeks and second at age of 16-18 weeks. Booster vaccination is given two weeks before laying.

Ducks:
Primary vaccination is given in the form of two doses. First dose is given at age of 6-7 weeks followed by a second dose at age of 9-11 weeks. Booster vaccination is injected two weeks before laying.

 
 
 


REMARKS:
- Shake the vaccine vigourously before and during use to ensure good mixing.
- Bring the vaccine to room temprature before use.
- Flocks to be vaccinated should be in good health and not suffering from any disease at time of vaccination.
- Ensure that vaccination equipments are kept clean during vaccination and should be sterilized befor use.
- Part – used containers should be disposed off at the end of each operation day as under field conditions it may be difficult
to avoid accidental contamination of the vaccine.
- Avoid vaccination of birds under antibiotic treatment.
Postpone vaccination till the end of antibiotic treatment.
- Birds can be slaughtered only 4 weeks following last vaccination.


 
 
 
 


PRECAUTION:
Avoid intramuscular injection of vaccine in broilers and ducks as it may cause local persistant reaction at the site of injection.

 
 
 
 


STORAGE:
Store in dark at 4 – 8oc and do not freeze.

 
 
 
 

PACKAGE:
