Infectious Bronchitis Vaccine (H120 Strain):
 


COMPOSITION:
Each dose of vaccine contains freeze dried infectious bronchitis virus 103.5TCID50 at least, type Massachusetts strain
H120.


 
 
 
 


INDICATION:
Active immunization of chickens aginst avian infectious bronchitis.

 
 
 
 


METHODS OF ADMINISTRATION:
The vaccine can be given by either of the following routes.

 
 
 


OCULAR ROUTE:

Dissolve 1000 doses of the vaccine in 30 ml sterile distilled water or physiological saline.
Apply a drop of the vaccine (0.03ml) in the eye of each bird, wait until the drop spreads properly before freeing the bird.

 
 
 
 


DRINKING WATER ROUTE:
-The bird should be left without drinking water at least 3 to 4 hours before vaccination.
-The water used for vaccination should be either sterile distilled water or pure Unchlorimated water.
-Make sure that the vaccine is consumed within 2 hours.
-The drinking water troughs should be clean and contain no traces of disinfectants or drugs.
-Make sure that there is enough drinking trough spaces to allow all birds immediate acess to the vaccine.
-For the best results the drinking water used should be relatively cold.
-The vaccine is reconstituted by opening the vial under the amount of water used for vaccination, according to the age
of the birds as follows., 1000 doses vial:

- Under 1 week ………………… in 5 liters water
- 1-4 weeks …………………….. in 10 liters water
- older birds …………………….. in 20 liters water
-Make sure that the vaccine is mixed well before administration.
-Vaccine is administered during the cooler hours of the day and must be kept away from any source of heat or direct
sunligl.
- Dried or skimmed milk may be added to the drinking water (1kg to 400liters of drinking water).


N.B.:
Avoid under dosage of the vaccine.

 
 
 
 


SPRAYING ROUTE:
The vial 1000 doses is dissolved in distilled water in the following dilutions according to the age as follows.,
1st to 4th week ……………..100ml
After 4th weeks ……………200ml
Adult birds …………………400ml
Use a good sprayer capable of producing 5-20 microne droplets.
Spray the vaccine about a meter above the birds.


N. B:
Only clinically healthy birds should be vaccinated.
Layers should not be vaccinated.


 
 
 
 

VACCINATION PROGRAMME:
BROILER:
-
Primary vaccination from the first day of age.
- Booster dose 3 weeks later.

 
 
 
 

PULLETS:
Primary vaccination from the first day of age.

Booster dose:
- First 3 weeks later.
- Second after 10 weeks of age.

 
 
 
 

STORAGE:
Store between +4 oC to + 8 oC for one year or in the freeze at 20 oC for three years.
