Summary

Random amplified polymorphic DNA and electrophoreis in polyacrylamid gel provided characteristic fingerprints or genetic polymorphism for Eimeria tenella (E. tenella) isolates These isolates. were collected from three didderent localitis in Egypt (El-Sharkia, El-fayoum and El-kalyobia provinces). Ten oligonucleotides primers reflected different phylogenctic relationship among the 3 E.tenella isolates.

The degree of similarity between the three isolates reflected the presence of both speciesnspecific and even strain specific band (s) the statisical analysis suggested closer phylogenetic relationship between El-fayoum and El-kalyobia E.tenella isolates which are distantly related to El-Sharkia isolate.

RAPD technique could easily differentiate with a great potential minor changes in the genomes of the related genotypes of E.tenella isolates in Egypt.
