The humoral immune response and cell mediated immunity were monitored using indirect fluorescent antibody (IFA),.enczyme linked immuno sorbent assay (ELISA) and lymphocyte blastogensis assay respectively. The results of the newly developed vaccine have been considered promising as it offered both protection and safety as compared to the use of alive vaccine in the immunization of cattle against the disease in Egypt.
