Summary

The cellular and humoral immune responses in guinea pigs and cattle vaccinated with aluminum hydroxide gel and oil FMD vaccines was evaluated in vitro by hymphocyte stimulation with FMD virus and different non specific mitogenes for four weeks post vaccination.

It was found that a significant increase in the delta optical density ( ? .O.D) at the third day post vaccination and increased gradually until the third week. After that the ? .O.D began to decrcase at forth week post vaccination.

The lymphocyte stimulation by FMD was greater than that by mitogense. The humoral immunity showed no significant value at the first two weeks which began to increase at the third and fourth week post vaccination.
